WELCOME TO THE SOUTH MORNINGTON JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB (SMJFC)
Set amongst the lush parklands of Citation Reserve, South Mornington Junior Football Club has been operating since 1970 and is home to over 400 members and officials. We proudly field boys, girls, and mixed teams across age groups from U8 to U17, along with a thriving AusKick program for our youngest players.
South Mornington Junior Football Club is built on a strong community spirit and a fun, family-friendly environment, making it a welcoming place for players of all ages and abilities.
We are proud to offer modern facilities that continue to evolve, ensuring the best possible experience for our players and families. Our clubrooms, opened in 2019, provide a welcoming and functional space for the entire SMJFC community.
Recent upgrades include new digital scoreboards on both ovals and top oval lighting, making South Mornington JFC the only club in the MPJFL with two ovals equipped for twilight and night games.
The SMJFC competes in the Mornington Peninsula Junior Football League (MPJFL), which has been in operation since 1970 and consists of 15 clubs and approximately 135 teams.

Into the Grand Final with plenty of momentum
The U15s bounced back in the best possible way, producing a dominant performance against Frankston YCW. They played with confidence, responded strongly to the challenge and made the most of their second opportunity after finishing inside the top two. A 47-point Preliminary Final victory sends them into the Grand Final with plenty of momentum and one more big game ahead.

The Girls reach a Grand Final in their inaugural season!
The remarkable first season for our U14 Girls continues. They delivered another outstanding team performance, restricting Pearcedale Baxter to just seven points while doing enough at the other end to secure a convincing win. To reach a Grand Final in their inaugural season is an incredible achievement and a credit to every player, coach, volunteer and family involved with this team.

The Boys secured a place in the Grand Final
U12 Yellow delivered when it mattered, producing a terrific team performance to win their qualifying final and secure a place in the Grand Final.

The Boys responded well and earned a spot in the Granny
After the disappointment of the previous week, U12 Black responded exactly as you would hope. They produced a strong, composed team performance against Rosebud, worked hard for one another and took control when the game was there to be won. It was a brilliant effort under Preliminary Final pressure and has earned them a well deserved place on Grand Final Day.

An amazing season came to an end
An amazing season came to an end against a strong Mt Martha side. This superstar group fought its way into the finals and should be incredibly proud of its determination, improvement and everything achieved throughout the year.
