The effort from every team, win or lose, continues to show the heart and spirit of our club. Here’s a look back at all the action and highlights.
Friday Night Footy – U10 Girls Debut

A huge welcome back to all the girls – we’re looking forward to watching you grow week by week.

A thrilling match for the U12s ended in a 33-33 draw against Red Hill. It was an even contest from the start, and the team showed great composure under pressure. Another strong step forward for this group after their big Round 1 win!
U12 Girls – Narrow Miss Against Dromana
The U12 Girls had a great hit-out and were just edged out 12-10 by Dromana. They’re already showing improved confidence and connection on the field. These girls are coming together beautifully and have plenty to look forward to this season.
U13 – Challenging Match Against Berwick White
The U13s came up against a very polished Berwick White outfit. While the result didn’t fall our way, the boys kept working and took plenty of learnings from the game. There’s a great foundation here, and the team will only get stronger as the season continues.
U14 – Tough Day Against Mt Eliza Red
The U14s faced a strong Mt Eliza Red team and kept working hard despite the scoreboard pressure. The Tigers never dropped their heads, and their effort across four quarters was admirable. Lots of positives to build on as they look ahead to Round 3.
U15 – Solid Effort Against EDI-ASP Eagles
The U15s matched up against a quality EDI-ASP side and gave a solid account of themselves. While EDI-ASP took the win, our boys showed good signs and kept their focus. The group is building nicely and remains on the right track.
U16 – Big Win Over Tyabb
A fantastic performance from the U16s saw them bounce back with a 95-26 win over Tyabb. The team played with purpose and energy, moving the ball beautifully and working hard for each other. A great result that reflects their hard work.
U17 – Great Win Against Carrum Patterson Lakes Blue
The U17s were in fine form with a strong 100-44 victory over Carrum Patterson Lakes Blue. It was an impressive showing across the board, with the team combining well and finishing strongly. The boys are building confidence and cohesion each week.
First Club Dinner – A Massive Success, Thanks to Our Volunteers
Our first club dinner of the year was a great night at the club, with plenty of families returning to the rooms to enjoy a meal, team awards, and each other’s company.
While we originally planned for the dinner to be handled by our regular canteen provider, unforeseen circumstances meant they couldn’t be with us on the night – our thoughts are with them and their family during this difficult time.
With short notice, we moved to Plan B, and a big thanks goes to Schnitz for jumping in to provide catering, and to the amazing group of volunteers who stepped up to run the night in a less-than-ideal situation. It was a challenging service, and while it wasn’t perfect (yes, the chips ran out!), it was a huge effort by those involved.
A heartfelt thank you to Dannii, Levi, Jett, Rylan, Sienna, Tayla, Jacinta, Wendy, Jason, Cindy & Alec – you gave up your night to serve the rest of the club, and we simply wouldn’t have been able to go ahead without you.
Special mention also to Club Treasurer Nick Harkins, who spent most of Sunday preparing the bar and rooms ahead of the night. These selfless efforts are what make our club community so strong.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding and thank all who supported the night – whether through attending, helping, or buying raffle tickets – it really was a great example of the club pulling together.
Raffle Thanks & Donations Welcome Congratulations to all our raffle winners! Supporting the raffle is a great way to give back to the club – and it always brings smiles to the kids who walk away with a prize.
If you or your business would like to donate a raffle prize at any time this season, please just chat to a committee member – we’d love to hear from you.
Grading Halfway Mark
We’re now halfway through the grading rounds, and our teams are facing a variety of challenges with determination and grit It’s been fantastic to see how players are responding, learning, and improving each week. Keep backing yourselves, Tigers – you’re doing us proud.
Thanks again to all families, volunteers, and sponsors for your continued support. The club is humming along beautifully, and it’s all thanks to the strength of our community.
Let’s keep the momentum going into Round 3.
Go Tigers!
